Across Washington, thousands of households are working hard to achieve, and hold onto, the dream of homeownership. But rising costs, confusing systems, and unexpected crises can make that path feel out of reach.

At the Washington Homeownership Resource Center, we make sure no one has to navigate it alone. Through our free, statewide hotline as well as in-person and virtual workshops and outreach, we provide kind, prompt, and trusted guidance to help households move forward with confidence.

In 2025 alone, we served more than 14,000 households, connecting first-time buyers and current homeowners to the tools, education, and vetted resources they need to succeed. Demand continues to surge, with calls up 30% since the start of the year, many from households worried about foreclosure and trying to stay in their homes. Your support helps ensure every Washington resident has a place to turn, and a fair shot at stable, sustainable homeownership.

Washington Homeownership Resource Center is a nonprofit organization founded in 1995. Our mission is to increase and preserve homeownership in Washington state by serving as a hub for education, resources, and partnerships.

Through our free hotline, resource website, and statewide outreach and education programming, we provide Washingtonians with personalized information and referral to vetted supports such as: 

• Homebuyer assistance programs 
• Pre-purchase education and counseling
• Foreclosure intervention counseling and legal aid 
• Reverse mortgage counseling
• Owner-occupied home repair and aging-in-place assistance
• Senior property tax exemption and deferral program application support
