Washington's charter public schools exist because every student deserves access to a high-quality public education. The students in these schools work hard, and we want to make sure opportunity doesn't stop when they walk across the stage.
Your gift supports two programs at the heart of our work:
The WA Charters Student Scholarship provides financial support to graduating high school seniors from Washington's charter public schools as they take their next stepβcollege, community college, trade school, or wherever their path leads.
The WA Charters Advocacy & Government Affairs Internship Program gives students hands-on experience in education advocacy, policy, and nonprofit work, including trips to Olympia to meet face-to-face with their state legislators. It's the kind of opportunity that opens doors they might not have had otherwise.
Help us reach our $10,000 goal to keep these programs running and growing!

ABOUT WA CHARTERS
Washington State Charter Schools Association (WA Charters) is a statewide nonprofit that advocates for policies enabling a healthy, growing sector of student-centered, community-rooted, antiracist public schools in Washington. We work alongside school leaders, families, and students to raise awareness about charter public schools and fight for the funding and policy conditions they need to succeed.
ABOUT WASHINGTON'S CHARTER PUBLIC SCHOOLS
Washington's charter public schools are free to attend, open-enrollment public schools that are community-rooted and student-centered. They serve higher rates of Black, Indigenous, and students of color than district schools statewide, and are staffed by more than double the number of BIPOC teachers. There are currently 15 charter public schools across Washington state, serving approximately 5,000 students.
