Vashon Community Scholarships

A nonprofit organization

Mission

VCFS helps Vashon High School seniors realize their strengths, focus their abilities, and plan for their future. These scholarships celebrate achievement, empower students, and facilitate community support of continuing education.

Description

The Vashon Community Scholarship Foundation was established in 1986 by a group of parents and other community members to solicit and coordinate financial support from the community for graduating seniors who wished to continue their education and training.  Since then, VCSF has distributed more than $2.75 million in scholarships.

We are pleased to report that we provide scholarships for every Vashon High School senior who applies. At a unique and meaningful ceremony, adults from the community tell each student's story, and how that story intersects with the history and future of our island. Imagine knowing that you will absolutely have the support of your community as you launch into adulthood!

Celebrating over Thirty-Five Years of Giving, VCSF continues as an independent, all-volunteer organization.
