Mission

It all began in 2005, when a small group of Snoqualmie Valley animal-lovers came together to fundraise on behalf of pets impacted by Hurricane Katrina. It didn’t take long for us to recognize that there are also struggling residents right here, in our very own community, who cannot afford veterinary care for their companion animals. In the wake of that first fundraiser, we decided to maintain our momentum and do what we could to become part of the solution for our neighbors and their beloved pets.  100% of every dollar raised through fundraisers, grants and private donations goes to the services we provide.

This group of animal-welfare-obsessed local business owners & individuals became Valley Animal Partners (VAP), a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

Our mission is to help Snoqualmie Valley seniors, disabled residents, Veterans, and limited-income citizens to provide affordable veterinary care for their pets.

What we provide:

Spay/Neuter Vouchers

  • Surgeries are performed at:
    • Seattle Humane (Bellevue)
    • Snoqualmie Valley Animal Hospital (Fall City)
  • Co-pays (waived as needed):
    • $30 for Cats
    • $50 for Dogs
  • VAP pays $90 for every cat and $150 for every dog that is fixed.
  • 105 spay/neuter vouchers have been issued in 2025 and the year isn’t over yet.

Vaccination Clinics

  1. We have partnered with the Seattle Veterinary Outreach’s mobile veterinary teams to host four low cost clinics annually in the Snoqualmie Valley.
  2. We treated 60 animals during our two clinics in October 2025.
  3. Each clinic costs VAP $3300.

Emergency Funds

  1. VAP financial support is limited to $300 annually per pet, but we help clients obtain additional resources if needed
  2. We assisted 3 pets during veterinary emergencies in 2025
  3. We collaborate with other social service and animal rescue agencies to help our clients obtain the resources they need for their companion animals.

2025 Highlights

·Received a $1500 grant from our local Rotary Club

·Established a relationship with Seattle Veterinary Outreach to conduct four low cost local animal clinics annually.

·Raised $3500 at our annual Chili Showdown and Homemade Goods Auction held on November 1, 2025

Why we do it

·Pet Over-population – Rescue organizations and animal shelters are often at capacity, and wonderful dogs and cats are euthanized for lack of space and resources. Pet over-population is unhealthy for our local communities – but it is downright deadly for unwanted, abandoned dogs and cats.

·VAP’s primary focus in 2005 was to facilitate low-cost spay/neuter surgeries to combat this issue, which is still our primary focus. Fortunately, with the aid of grants, fundraisers, and generous donors, we have been able to expand our mission to also provide free vaccines and emergency veterinary care for local companion animals.

··Stability - It is better for the well-being of bonded pets and their people to stay together, and affordable access to veterinary care is critical. Our clients’ dogs and cats are very important members of their families, This is especially true for many of our senior citizens and unhoused clients.

·Mental Health - Research and experience demonstrate that pets keep us healthier and happier.  We owe them the same.

It takes a Valley - and we are so grateful for ours!
