Mission

Tahoma Northwest supports individuals and families through inclusive, person-centered services. We foster resilience, connection, and empowerment by working alongside communities to strengthen supports and promote well-being.

Description

Since 2011 Tahoma Northwest previously Dads MOVE has sought to help struggling fathers and their families that are raising children with mental health and behavioral disorders. Over the years we have learned how many issues affect these children from trauma to the parent's own mental health.

We are a person-driven, peer-focused non-profit that serves families across the state of Washington. We provide parent education weekends, statewide training, peer support, and resource navigation support. Dads MOVE is also the current SAMHSA Statewide Family Network for Washington. Tahoma Northwest provides a wide array of training, support groups, and parent weekends.

Recognition

Tahoma Northwest is supported by Carelon SAMHSA, DSHS, Pierce County Human Services, PeacePoint and private donations. We are a proud partner with The Federation of Families, Nonprofit Accelerator, and many more.
