Action for Pets. Compassion for People.
Every day, pets and families in Okanogan County face challenges accessing the care they need. With no county animal shelter, no animal control services, and limited access to affordable veterinary care, many pets risk going without. Team Okanogan Animal Rescue (TOAR) is here to change that—and with your support, we can make sure no pet or family is left behind.
TOAR serves pets and families in one of Washington’s most remote and underserved regions, including the Colville Reservation, where poverty is high and resources are limited. Every gift makes a difference, allowing us to reach thousands of pets each year.
In 2025, TOAR supported over 3,000 animals through free spay/neuter, vaccines, microchips, TNR, and transport services, distributed more than 170,000 pounds of pet food, and provided $31,000 in emergency veterinary care and grant funding—all made possible by the generosity of donors and dedicated volunteers who believe in our mission.
Our programs include:
Free spay/neuter and vaccine clinics to prevent overpopulation and keep pets healthy. Our Big Fix clinics are the largest, free spay/neuter clinics in the state!
Pet food and supply distribution to help families in need care for their animals.
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) services to stabilize community cat populations.
Emergency veterinary care for families in financial crisis, so pets get the care they need.
Transport assistance to help animals find loving, adoptive homes.
At TOAR, every program is grounded in the belief that compassionate communities start with access to care. With your support, we make sure every animal—and the families who care for them—can get the resources they need to live healthier, happier lives.
