Thank you Kitsap County! We've increased our financial goal to make the most of this giving day - make your gift before Midnight to help us reach our stretch goal!
More than a makerspace, BARN is a hub of creativity, craft, and community. BARN's 25,000-square-foot facility is home to 11 volunteer-run studios offering professional equipment, classes, open studios, and peer learning. BARN is committed to helping build a world where people recognize and value their creativity and capacity to contribute to their communities.
When you support BARN, you're powering a community service engine that transforms lives throughout Kitsap County! And I'm excited to announce that your gift this month will be matched by a generous anonymous donor, doubling your impact up to $10,000. Every dollar you give will be matched, making this an extraordinary opportunity to maximize your support for community-centered craft!
Each year, BARN members donate hundreds of hours applying their craft skills to meaningful projects that strengthen our community. Over the past year, our artisans:
Built a beautiful bench for the Bainbridge Public Library's Haiku Garden.
Created a life-size metal Giving Tree for Helpline House to honor their donors.
Provided more than 100 meals to Helpline House through the ongoing "Community Soups and Stews" program.
Hosted two Fix-It Fairs that kept household items out of landfills while building repair skills.
Offered free monthly Teen Nights during the school year, providing creative opportunities to young people.
Contributed to many projects too numerous to mention!
These projects happen because skilled volunteers have access to professional-grade tools, materials, and creative resources your donation helps provide.
Together, we're building a creative community where skills and resources are shared to strengthen our region. Thank you!
