About Stephen's Place

Stephen’s Place is a supportive independent apartment community designed for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities so they may live a fulfilled life with meaning and dignity!

Donations for GiveBIG 2023 will go towards more Day Program sponsorships for non-residents, fun outings, and more programming! So, if you can do it, GIVE BIG! :)

$20 Sponsors Our Gardeners

New Seeds, Soil, and Gardening SuppliesGardening is one of the most therapeutic activities. Our garden is a haven for residents who want to spend time in nature whenever they feel like it. Our garden club regularly wins the top prizes at the county fair for their plants!

$75 Pays for Community Impact Days

where residents join another nonprofit to help out in the community. In the past, we've helped garden, pick up trash (with SOLV Oregon), helped out Habitat for Humanity, and much more!

$600 Pays for a Group Day Trip

With last year's GiveMore24 donations, we were able to go to the Oregon Coast and take a safari trip in Oregon! Our residents love being in the great outdoors! To take the trip, we will need to fund extra care, sleeping materials, gas, food, and activities.

$65 a day or $6,630 year of Day Program for a Non-Resident!

We love having people join us for our day program. It offers a space for people who live outside of Stephen's Place to come and make friends, and participate in lots of activities. It also gives caregivers a bit of a break.

It takes funding as we offer meals, snacks, and we need extra caregiver time to make it all possible. While we charge a nominal amount to cover costs (we never make profits from people!), some people can't afford to join us. So, we offer sliding scale and for some can cover the cost. We want to help more people.

Help with Our Next BIG Community Project

We have a plot next to Stephen's Place where we plan to create an entire new community space for people in the community with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Our new spot plans to have a cafe space, activity centre, day program, gym, local and performance arts, special olympics practice, outdoor playground/sensory garden, offices for programs that support the greater I/DD community in Vancouver, WA, and a campus where someone can seek services to support them to live a fulfilled life. Right now, we're raising money to build our gym!
Please donate whatever you can to help us!
