Mission

Sound Child Care Solutions (SCCS) creates high quality, culturally relevant education for all children through the collaboration of early learning centers.

Description

SCCS was founded in 2006 with a deep belief that tackling the divide between who gets great education and who doesn't, is critical to reducing the school readiness and academic achievement gaps.

Each year we close our centers and hold an all-staff training and workshop event on racial equity known as UIR (Undoing Institutional Racism). Throughout the year, Directors and staff discuss and reflect on current anti-bias education practices. This work helps support the design of classrooms and play spaces to celebrate and honor various cultures so children feel seen, heard, and respected. Fundraising for language translation services for our diverse staff, speakers, breakout sessions, and learning materials, is key to the success of UIR.

This year, we have a goal of $2,000 to support Undoing Institutional Racism. Will you help us meet our goal?
