Our Mission
Building housing in Washington is expensive, among the most expensive in the country. In King County, construction costs top $500 per square foot, and even a modest lot can run well into six figures. For people earning 30% of area median income, that math simply doesn't work without help.
HomeAid Puget Sound changes the equation. We bring builders, trade partners, and suppliers together to donate their labor and materials. Your support funds that collaboration, which cuts construction costs by an average of 42%. The result is housing the private market could never build on its own. Nonprofit service providers are good at what they do: direct care, case management, knowing their clients by name. Real estate development isn't their job, and it shouldn't have to be. When you fund this work, they can stay focused on the people in front of them. You help put a roof over someone's head. They take care of everything underneath it.

GiveBig 2026
This year through GiveBig, we're raising $1,000 to fund a Care Day for one of our nonprofit partners. HomeAid volunteers show up and spend the day doing the unglamorous stuff that's hard to fund any other way: replacing broken windows, pressure washing walkways, repainting scuffed walls, cleaning carpets. It's not flashy work, but it transforms a facility from institutional to a place that actually feels stable and dignified for the people living there. And because volunteers donate their time and HomeAid coordinates the materials, our nonprofit partner pays nothing. Your donation covers it entirely.
Your Impact
40+ housing projects. 600+ units of deeply affordable housing. Thousands of volunteers. Millions in donated labor and materials. Thank you for making this work possible. It genuinely can't happen without you.
