Sequim Food Bank

Our mission is to provide food and assistance to people and organizations so that no one goes hungry in our community.

The Sequim Food Bank is available to anyone living within the Sequim School District boundaries.

Individuals and families can visit for a long as they need assistance - and leave with an abundance of nutritious food.

Our volunteers serve all visitors with dignity and compassion.

How we Work:

The Sequim Food Bank serves anyone requesting food assistance, without regard to race, ethnicity, gender, age, or socio-economic status. Our vision is to ensure that no one goes hungry in our community.

-Individuals and families can visit our food bank for a long as they need assistance - and leave with an abundance of nutritious food. They will be assisted by our many volunteers, who serve all visitors with dignity and compassion.

-We provide healthy, nutritious food as part of a balanced diet. Our selections include canned food and dry goods, fresh produce, bread items, dairy, eggs, meat and fish. In addition we have alternative milks, vegetarian items, prepared meals and specialty items. We also have non-food items like baby items and feminine products. We even carry pet food!

Some of the many services we provide:

-Food Distributions on Monday, Friday and Saturday

-Contract with area farms to provide locally-sourced food

-Provide 200 Weekend Meal Bags to school children each week

-Offer home food delivery services 

-Collaborate with local service agencies and organizations

For GIVEBIG2023, we are highlighting our Weekend Meal Bag Program. During the school year, many students receive free breakfast and lunches at school, but on the weekends, they may not get enough nutritious food. Weekends are a time for active play and children need food to fuel their bodies and their brains on Saturday and Sunday.

 "My son runs through the house to grab some food from his
Weekend Meal bag and then goes out to play some more," says one Mom. 

The bags are designed with the recommendations of a nutritionist and our warehouse manager, a dad himself, makes sure that the bags include a selection of food that is healthy and still appeals to children. Over 200 Weekend Meal bags are delivered to Sequim schools, Head Start programs and the Boys and Girls Club, and handed out at Sequim Food Bank Friday and Saturday distributions. 

In the summer, the Weekend Meal Bags are available each week at several area locations and the Sequim Food Bank so that no child goes hungry.

Monday:     1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Friday:         9:00 am - Noon

Saturday:    9:00 am - Noon
