As one of the largest Pride celebrations in the country, we carry a big responsibility, to keep our events safe, accessible, and free for everyone. But making that happen takes real resources. From hiring private security (because we do not believe in police at Pride) to paying our talent equitably, and ensuring accessibility through ASL interpreters, ramps, ADA pathways, and more, the costs add up quickly.
Right now, we’re facing a major funding gap of around $350,000, driven in large part by DEI rollbacks and companies stepping back from supporting LGBTQIA2S+ organizations. While this creates an opportunity to strengthen relationships with partners who are still showing up, it also means we’re having hard conversations with others — challenging them to recommit to queer and trans communities and push for more inclusive workplaces.
To help bridge this gap, we’re turning to you, our community, our allies, and everyone who has ever felt joy, connection, or belonging at one of our events. Whether you give $1 or $1,000, every dollar goes toward creating safer spaces, supporting queer and trans folks across Washington, and funding the programs that make Seattle Pride more than just a parade. That includes our Pride Internship for youth and our Spark Grants that fuel LGBTQIA2S+ grassroots work statewide.
Thank you for standing with us for the last 51 years and thank you for showing up now.
Who We Are Seattle Pride / Seattle Out & Proud Foundation is a 501c(3) non-profit organization.
We produce and promote pride events to connect, strengthen, and advocate for our community. We exist to educate members of the public about the LGBTQIA2S+ community and the rights of its members, and we work to eliminate discrimination against and further the civil rights of members of the LGBTQIA2S+ community.
How Do We Live Our Mission?
We believe in the power of queer joy and visibility. Whether we are putting on the Seattle Pride Parade, celebrating at Seattle Pride in the Park, providing internships for youth to grow their skills, or distributing funds via grants and sponsorships to LGBTQIA2S+ artists and organizations, the goal of Seattle Pride is to move with intentionality and elevate the most marginalized voices in the process.
