Mission

The Seattle Art Book Fair is a free annual celebration of independent arts publishing, book design, and artist books. 

Description

Seattle Art Book Fair brings together independent publishers, artists, book designers, and zine-makers for a free annual festival celebrating artists’ publishing. Hosting 80+ exhibitors of local, national, and international artists, designers, and organizations, with programming that includes talks, activities, and art installations, the two-day SABF is completely free to attend and open to the public. Because we are a 100% volunteer-run organization, any and every dollar of support directly benefits artists, publishers, and the Seattle arts community. 

Our inaugural 2023 fair welcomed 1800+ visitors and featured 65+ local, national, and international artists, designers, publishers, and community organizations. In 2024, we featured 85+ exhibitors, and welcomed 2800+ visitors. For 2025 we're hosting over 90 exhibitors on May 10-11 at Washington Hall! We continue to receive feedback from visitors and exhibitors alike that the fair is an overwhelmingly positive, inspiring, and friendly experience.

Our vision is to continue to support and expand access to contemporary arts publishing in the Pacific Northwest. We’re seeking support to grow our community outreach, add more public programs, and increase access for exhibitors.

Your donations will help us to:

* Keep the Seattle Art Book Fair completely FREE and open to the public.

* Broaden our outreach to under served communities across Seattle.

* Continue our micro-grant program, the Page Turner Fellowship, which provides a designer or artist who is new to the art book field book the mentorship and resources to create an original work to be launched at the Seattle Art Book Fair.

* Expand our events program with more talks, workshops, community participation, and speaker honorariums.
