Seattle Children's Theatre (SCT) sparks imagination, inspires hope, and creates a lifelong appreciation for the arts through live theatre and theatre education. For many children, SCT is their first, and sometimes, sole exposure to live theatre.  

Founded in 1975, is one of the first professional theatres created exclusively to serve children and youth and is the largest in the Pacific Northwest. As a national leader in the Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) field for five decades, SCT has produced more than 300 plays and served over 4 million young people of our region through vulnerable, authentic, educational stories that help young people understand the world around them. As one young person shared after seeing a production, "You gave me the encouragement to follow my dreams."

SCT's Commitment to Local Artists: From our production design teams to the teaching artists in our classrooms, SCT is committed to uplifting the local talent we have right here in the Greater Seattle Area. Local artists make it possible to create spaces of growth, connection, and belonging for our audiences and our students. These spaces are more important than ever for young people to build empathy, find their voices, and learn to advocate for themselves and others.

• $100 sponsors a family to experience the magic our artists create on the SCT stage
• $250 brings a teaching artist into a classroom to teach a Dramatic Connections workshop
• $500 provides a scholarship for a week of learning, creativity, and connection with a teaching artist at our ADC Drama School Camps.
• $1,000+ funds a new play development workshop in collaboration with local theatre professionals
