$20,000 Goal

ReWA is a non-profit, multi-ethnic organization that promotes inclusion, independence, personal leadership, and strong communities by providing refugee and immigrant women and their families with culturally and linguistically appropriate services. ReWA advocates for social justice, public policy changes, and equal access to services while respecting cultural values and the right to self-determination.

In 1985, a group of successfully resettled refugee women realized the unique needs of refugee and immigrant women and mothers were being overlooked in the social service settings that existed at the time.

They founded the South East Asian Women’s Alliance (SEAWA) to provide newly arrived women with services in their native languages that were not available from other agencies. From a small, informal alliance of concerned refugee women, ReWA has grown to become one of the largest non-profit refugee and immigrant service providers in the Puget Sound area.

It takes a community of support to ensure our newest refugee and immigrant neighbors have the tools they need to live a successful life in the Puget Sound. We truly appreciate every contribution made to make our community stronger. On behalf of our clients, staff, Board, and partners, thank you for supporting Refugee Women's Alliance during Give BIG 2024!
