Rebuilding Together Seattle

Rebuilding Together Seattle is a local 501(c)3 nonprofit organization providing free home repair and modification services to neighbors in need throughout Seattle since 1989. Our focus is on making repairs that create safer and healthier homes for the residents we serve; providing safe spaces for children to grow and thrive, enabling our older neighbors to safely age in place, and helping families hold on to their homes for future generations.

We are proud to be an organization that people, companies, and other nonprofits choose to support to fill important gaps in housing solutions. Our coordinated approach between residents, volunteers, municipalities, nonprofits, businesses, foundations, and other partner organizations builds and sustains safe, healthy, and thriving communities. Together we can build safe homes and communities for everyone.

The impact of our work goes well beyond the repairs we do. We are improving lives by impacting safety, physical health, mental health, independence, economic security, and community connection for neighbors. We improve health outcomes, stabilize housing and homeownership, and reduce the need for new affordable housing. Our work preserves treasured memories and restores social connections while celebrating community through the strengthening of our neighborhoods.

One of the ways in which we serve our neighbors in need is through our Safe At Home program. These smaller-scale repairs are tackled year-round by incredible volunteers – both individually and in small teams. Over 80% of households we serve are part of this program. Safe At home is at the heart of what we do, and it is funded primarily by donations from generous individuals in our community. Our goal for Give Big 2025 is to raise $10,000 to support the Safe At Home program and provide safer and healthier homes for our neighbors.
