Reuse That Builds Opportunity

At the RE Store, reuse powers everything we do.

As a program of RE Sources, the RE Store diverts nearly 3 million pounds of usable building materials from the landfill each year. But the impact goes beyond waste reduction—this work creates opportunities for people to build skills, confidence, and a path forward.

With RE Store’s Community Jobs Training Program, trainees gain hands-on experience in:

  • Retail and customer service

  • Materials handling and salvage

  • Workplace communication and teamwork

  • Resume-building and job readiness

This program provides one-on-one, real-world job training for participants in local workforce programs. Through strong community partnerships, we ensure these opportunities are accessible to people from all backgrounds.

During their 3 to 6 month training, participants receive personalized coaching, job assessments, resume support, and safety training. They build both practical and transferable skills—from customer service and retail operations to salvage and deconstruction—while gaining the confidence and experience to take their next step.

Your GiveBIG gift supports this work and is matched dollar-for-dollar up to $5,000!

Give today to help create opportunity through reuse.
