Our Mission

Puget Brass strives to entertain, educate, and inspire our community through exceptional music performance in the British brass band style.

Our Vision

Puget Brass sees a community where the performance of live, unique music brings people of all ages and backgrounds together.

Who We Are

Formed in 1999, Puget Brass is a British-style brass band that performs traditional and contemporary literature throughout the greater Seattle area. Puget Brass players volunteer their time and efforts to perform for and educate the general public about the unique sound of traditional British brass band music.

Puget Brass performs 5-7 concerts per season with a wide variety of repertoire and themes. Our 25th Anniversary season has included:

  1. Oktoberfest Celebration (October 19, 2024) – a concert and social hour celebrating all things Oktoberfest. We partnered with Watts Brewing Company for this show and it was a really fun show!
  2. Music for Neighbors in Need (December 87-8, 2024) – our annual holiday concert and fund raiser for Neighbors in Need, a cold weather shelter and support network serving the houseless population in south Snohomish county. We extended our reach this year by partnering with Plymouth Church Seattle and their in-house organization serving the unhoused asylum seekers.
  3. February Feature (February 8, 2025) – this program featured former Puget Brass music director Dr. John Falskow as a guest conductor.
  4. Brass Bonanza (March 8, 2025) - a celebration of the stellar music education in the greater Seattle area. This event featured the 2025 Puget Brass Academy; our exciting youth brass band created to pass on the tradition of British brass band with the next generation of brass musicians.
  5. Radiant Brass (April 12, 2025) - our collaborative concert with Brass Band Tacoma with clinician, conductor, performing artist, pedagogue, and scholar Joe Parisi.
  6. Bangers and Brass (June 8, 2025) – our annual fundraiser concert and afternoon tea celebrating all things British brass - this time with a special 25th anniversary twist!
