Mission

Our aim is to provide quality services to our young men and women in the community through Mentorship, College Readiness and Career Enhancement, Scholarships, College Attendance and Graduation.

Description

There is empirical evidence which suggests that the education equity gap will continue to widen if we do not invest in our young boys and girls of color or BIPOC (Black and indigenous people of color) scholars. The Breakfast Group programs utilize a life course approach aimed at healing the educational equity gap and racial divide by providing young BIPOC men and women with guidance, structure, understanding and love. Investing in the community is key to the survival of the community. The Breakfast Group curriculum prepares young people to meet the challenges of adolescence and adulthood. Our model provides our youth in-school and out-of-school educational activities with African American facilitators who look like them.
