PEPS Mission & Vision
•Mission: To connect parents to strengthen families and build community
•Vision: Resilient Families - Connected Communities - Equitable Outcomes
Each year PEPS connects thousands of parents in facilitated peer support groups: Expectant parents, parents of newborns, parents of a newborn and a toddler, LGBTQIA+ parents, single parents, and parents of adolescents and teens.
At PEPS, we are wholeheartedly committed to helping parents adjust to their roles by connecting them with other parents going through the same thing at the same time.
"I always thought, the hardest part was giving birth. Nobody tells you that the hardest part begins afterwards...." ~ Gergana, PEPS Group participant
We believe in the power of connection, the power of listening to each other, and the immense relief in knowing we have the support of a caring and passionate community.
Bottom line? Families need connection to be healthy and to thrive. They need to know they are not alone.
We also know many parents need access to basic resources, childcare, stable housing, healthcare, and mental health services - which is why we are grateful to be in community with our partner organizations who are providing that support.
During this year's GiveBIG, we encourage you to center parents and families and support PEPS as well as one (or more!) of our partner organizations who work diligently to support their respective communities of families.
