Mission

'Supporting the arts' is not enough. We must support the artists.

Pratidhwani's mission is to empower and enable South Asian artists, and through them, to promote and cultivate performing arts of the Indian subcontinent.

Description

Pratidhwani is celebrating its 20th anniversary year in 2023!! And we launched the season with a double-casted, world premiere production of Jim Moran's new play Refugees in the Garden City. This play was co-produced with ReAct Theatre and created opportunities for ~20 artists and volunteers.  In August, Pratidhwani will produce its next Hindi play Ballabhpur Ki Roopkatha, which will engage a larger company!

2022 was the year of returning to in-person events with Saiyan Bhaye Kotwal and Two Minutes of Your Time. 2023 is the year we gain momentum, while also celebrating 20 years for our organization. We are excited to bring back music and dance performances in person as well.

Don't forget to watch and listen to Pratidhwani's ORIGINAL song, composition and dance video released to mark the occasion of Earth Day (Ansuni Pukarein) here - https://youtu.be/uklAB8VpnwQ - now an official selection for the Lift-Off Global Network Sessions 2023.
