We envision Burien as a destination where murals and public art thrives — a city whose walls tell stories of creativity, culture, and connection. Through Mural Masters, we aim to uplift artists at the top of their field, inspire the next generation of creators, and prove that graffiti and street art belong in the heart of our communities, celebrated as powerful and respected forms of artistic expression.

Each June, Mural Masters hosts a three-day festival in downtown Burien featuring live mural painting, an artist market, music, and community activities—all free and open to the public. We also partner with local businesses, museums, and organizations to strengthen Burien’s cultural identity through art that is both accessible and representative of the community it serves.

The murals are rotated annually, giving artists and audiences a chance to see fresh work every year and transforming familiar spaces into new experiences.
