Support Youth in Recovery

Through the Power of Community

This GiveBIG, help young people in recovery find a place to belong—and thrive.

At Bridges PNW Alternative Peer Group (APG) we offer a recovery-centered community where youth are supported by peers, mentors, and staff who walk alongside them, every step of the way.

At Bridges PNW APG, we meet young people where they are,

with compassion, accountability, and hope.

Alternative Peer Groups (APG) are a nationally recognized model of care, rooted in the belief that peer connection is essential to long-term recovery. We provide a safe, sober space where high school aged youth and their families come together after school, over holiday breaks and summer vacation for support groups, social activities, recovery coaching, and mentorship.

This isn't just a program. This is belonging—something many of our youth have never truly experienced before.

As members of recovery community, we know that healing happens in community. This GiveBIG, your donation builds that community—and changes lives.

Youth Testimonial:

Sarah, Bridges Alumni

"At 15, I overdosed, and my parents found me. This was a turning point for all of us. We began looking into treatment options, and shortly after, I went to rehab in California for two and a half months, followed by a partial hospitalization program.

That's when I found Bridges.

Bridges gave me community, friendship, and connections to 12-step programs. At first, the program was very limited — it only had once-a-week meetings with minimal resources, and we had to meet outside due to COVID restrictions. Despite these limitations, Bridges was a sanctuary for me. It provided structure and support in place of the uncertainty and hopelessness that had dominated my life."

A Message from our Executive Director

At Bridges, we believe every young person deserves the chance to recover, grow, and discover who they are beyond substance use. As someone in long-term recovery myself, I know firsthand how life-changing it is to find connection, support, and purpose at a critical time. That’s exactly what we offer at Bridges—a safe, sober, and empowering community where teens and their families can heal together.

This GiveBIG, your support helps us continue providing peer-led programming, engaging off-site activities, and recovery-centered mentorship that meets youth where they are. Every dollar raised goes directly toward creating more opportunities for teens in our community to thrive.

Thank you for believing in this work and standing with us to build a brighter, sober future—together.

With gratitude,

Ellyse Bracken
