Who We Are: Mission

Our mission is to enrich the quality of life for thousands of children and adults with disabilities through outdoor recreation. For nearly 50 years, Outdoors for All has created opportunities for people across the Puget Sound to experience the freedom and joy of the outdoors all year round, regardless of their cognitive or physical abilities.

Each summer, participants ages 7 and up, get to experience kayaking, cycling, rock climbing, and exploring the natural world which builds confidence, connection, and a sense of belonging along the way. Our participants receive access to expensive, hard-to-source, custom equipment, individualized instruction and support, and transportation to and from locations as needed. Our newest location, PenMet Park, will offer summer camps and a robust selection of cycling rentals, while our locations at Magnuson Park and Lake Sammamish State Park will offer activities including (but not limited to):

  • Kayaking
  • Paddleboarding
  • Cycling
  • Rock Climbing
  • Free Bike Rentals
  • Summer Day Camps

What Your GiveBIG Gift Supports:

Because everyone deserves access to the outdoors, we keep our summer camp program and activity costs as low as possible and offer scholarships to cover up to 90% of tuition fees and reduce financial barriers. Last year, 43% of our participants received financial aid.  On average, our summer day camps cost $590 per week for participants.

The Outdoors for All Foundation transforms lives through outdoor recreation. We need YOUR help to raise $20,000 during GiveBIG for our summer day camps in Seattle, Issaquah, and Gig Harbor. These life-changing experiences come at a cost. Adaptive equipment, specialized instruction, and transportation make our programs possible, but also expensive. Your support will help ensure that all campers registering now can participate come June.

Other Ways to Support:

Being able to provide individualized support and instruction for a variety of different needs requires a lot of helping hands, and the generosity of our incredible volunteers is critical to the success of our organization. We are always looking for more volunteers with a wide range of skills and experience levels.
