Mission

The NHHS Foundation's mission is to inspire and help build a supportive community that ensures ALL students become honorable, thinking, skillful, global citizens.

Description

Nathan Hale High School, part of Seattle Public Schools and a member of the Coalition of Essential Schools (essentialschools.org), is nationally recognized as a leader in school reform efforts that result in providing a rigorous and relevant education that is intentional, integrated, and collaborative in nature. Students prepare for next steps in life by developing critical thinking skills and learning to use their minds well.

All of the funds raised by the NHHS Foundation go to support programs, spaces, and events that encourage students to become honorable, thinking, skillful, global citizens. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all school fundraising activities have been canceled. Now, more than ever, we're relying on the support of our donors to sustain our mission.

Your past investments in the Foundation have supported the creation of a Maker Space (its 3D printers were dedicated this spring to production of PPE in the form of face shields for Seattle Cancer Care Alliance front-line workers), NHHS's Career Navigator, College Possible for first-generation college students, and the Urban Farm.

Recognition

The NHHS Foundation would like to recognize staff, students, families, and community members going above and beyond in countless ways during these unprecedented times including: ensuring student meal delivery is not interrupted, finding creative ways to acknowledge and elevate our students, and utilizing school resources for the greater good.
