Our Mission

The mission of NAMI Eastside is to provide advocacy, education, support, and public awareness so that all people impacted by mental illness and mental health conditions can build better lives.

Who We Are

At NAMI Eastside, we dedicate ourselves to improving the quality of life for those impacted by mental health conditions by shining a light on the realities that those living with mental illness face every day. We do this by sharing knowledge and working to end the stigma associated with mental illness. To this end, we offer support groups as well as educational classes and presentations involving mental illness throughout eastern King County. NAMI Eastside also advocates for mental health public policy and dismantling systems which further stigma and prejudice. We are creating a community of support and empowering those impacted by mental illness and making positive changes in the mental health care system through our advocacy work.

NAMI Eastside is a grassroots non-profit organization, part of the national NAMI organization, and an affiliate of NAMI Washington.

Our Promise

NAMI Eastside is committed to serving the communities of eastern King County by creating a safe place for those living with mental illness and their loved ones. Our promise to the community is to provide all of our programs and services free of charge and judgement. Everything we offer is under strict rules of confidentiality and operated by compassionate, NAMI-certified volunteers with lived experience surrounding mental health conditions.
