Description
NCCFoodBank offers clients a wide variety of courses free of charge targeting all ages. Partnering with organizations, agencies, and local businesses we offer healthy cooking and nutrition, financial planning for all ages, job search skills as well as organic vegetable gardening. Through our partnership with the family at Beacon Farm and WSU Master Gardening program, we also provide clients with their own community garden. With our Celebrity Chefs and Kids in the Kitchen Summer Camp for kids 9 - 18 years of age, we collaborate with the Clark College Culinary Institute to teach low-income kids kitchen safety and healthy cooking skills for life.
Recognition
Dan's Tractors is a major supporter of the NCCFoodBank and our mission and has been a strong advocate of our programs since the 1980s. The Kingsman Foundation, Phillip Foster, Sandra & William Bennett, Schuurman Family Trust, Molina Healthcare, FisherJordan, LLC, and many others provide the NCCFoodBank with annual contributions and matching funds because of the long-standing relationship we have with each of them over the years. These funders and others support our goal to provide more holistic services to each of our clients that aid them in regaining employment as well as improving their overall health.
