Description

MIVAL (Mercer Island Visual Arts League) is a nonprofit founded in 1961 and a volunteer run arts group. We are a home for local artists and serve the local community by promoting arts engagement. MIVAL sponsors a high school scholarship program, Junior MIVAL programs, a Junior Art show, adult art exhibits, and art demonstrations. We help to coordinate community art events including Art Uncorked, kids art activities at Music in the Park, art displays at local businesses, art classes, and First Friday Art Walks. The MIVAL Gallery program has operated for more than 10 years in the Avellino Building in downtown Mercer Island. The MIVAL Gallery Program benefits the local community by providing original art for sale and a place for our community members to gather around art and creative community experiences.

GiveBIG funds have helped to sustain all of our programs in the past and we encourage you to participate in this once a year campaign. Donations of any amount are appreciated and will be matched by a board member on a one to one basis up to $1,000.
