About LifeWire
LifeWire is a leading provider of shelter and services for survivors of domestic violence in Washington State. Since our founding in 1982, we have reached over 176,000 survivors with safety, stability, and healing. In 2025 alone, we supported nearly 7,000 survivors across ten counties in beginning safer, brighter chapters. We are committed to changing social norms through free prevention trainings for communities ready to make a difference.
Your partnership and support are more important than ever before. Nearly 50% of all crimes against persons in Washington State involve domestic violence, including homicides. It remains the leading cause of homelessness for women with children nationwide. Through your donations, we can help even more survivors and their children find hope and healing to rebuild their lives.
We are a member of the Greater Seattle Business Association, the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce, the Mercer Island Chamber of Commerce, OneRedmond, and the Greater Kirkland Chamber of Commerce. We are proud to call East King County Home. Our advocacy services to survivors now include 9 counties in Western Washington, and our team speaks 11 languages so that our programs and services can reflect the communities we serve.

Survivor-Centered Advocacy and Housing Support
We listen to each survivor and partner on their journey. Our support honors their experience, reflecting their unique histories, challenges, and personal goals. In 2025, Advocacy Services included our helpline, safety planning, children and youth services, and mobile advocacy. Our mobile advocates are prepared to meet survivors in person and virtually with the critical resources they need.
No survivor should have to choose between staying in an abusive relationship and becoming homeless. As a Housing First organization, we know that if survivors can obtain safe and stable housing quickly, they can address needs and reduce trauma. In 2025, Homelessness and Housing Stability Services included emergency shelter, transitional shelter, hotel vouchers, flexible funds, rapid rehousing, eviction prevention, and rental assistance.
