Mission

The Lake Washington Schools Foundation (LWSF) raises funds and amplifies community resources to provide students in Lake Washington School District (LWSD) what they need to thrive, both now and in the future.

Description

The Lake Washington Schools Foundation has been serving the Lake Washington School District for 19 years, providing resources and support to help students achieve their full potential. 

Since its formal inception, LWSF has raised and directed millions of dollars to districtwide programs that prepare students for success by removing barriers, supporting wellness, enhancing learning, and building connections. Some of these programs include INCLUSIVE LIBRARIES, which provides funding for thousands of new books that upgrade and diversify the library collections of each of our district's schools; FIND YOUR FIT, an educational program that helps demystify the college application process for students and their families; KIDS COMING TOGETHER, a teen-led initiative that helps younger students form lasting connections with peers through social and community-service events; LINKS, a mentoring program that matches a caring adult with students who could benefit from additional attention; and PANTRY PACKS, an essential service that provides weekend meals for students experiencing food insecurity.
