Description

Intiman is the professional theatre-in-residence at Seattle Central College in Capitol Hill. The company won the 2006 Tony Award for Outstanding Regional Theatre, and a 2019 Mayor's Arts Award.

Intiman is raising funds to close the gap on our recent Show the Love campaign. We need $5,000 more to hit our campaign goal of $100,000 in support of expanding programming in our next season. 

ABOUT INTIMAN THEATRE

Since its founding in 1972, Intiman Theatre has presented over 240 productions to Seattle audiences. Among the more recent of these are BLACK NATIVITY by Langston Hughes, THE LOWER DEPTHS by Maxim Gorky (with Seagull Project), THE NICETIES by Eleanor Burgess, THE SIGN IN SIDNEY BRUSTEIN'S WINDOW by Lorraine Hansberry (with Williams Project), THE EVENTS by David Grieg, HIR by Taylor Mac, BULRUSHER by Eisa Davis, NATIVE GARDENS by Karen Zacarías, ANGELS IN AMERICA by Tony Kushner, TROUBLE IN MIND and WEDDING BAND by Alice Childress, BOOTYCANDY and BARBECUE by Robert O'hara, and DRAGON LADY by Sara Porkalob. The theatre provides revolutionary free education programs to diverse communities throughout Seattle, including: STARFISH Project, South End Stories (fiscally sponsored community partner), and an Associate of Arts Degree emphasis in Technical Theatre for Social Justice at Seattle Central College.
