Mission

Hollow Earth Radio KHUH 104.9 Seattle is the Pacific NW's freeform LPFM radio station, presenting a forum for underrepresented music, sounds, and perspectives. We encourage community participation and offer the local community access to content creation and technical knowledge.

Description

Found in 2006, Hollow Earth Radio (HER) provides 24 hours of freeform FM broadcast completely produced by volunteer djs, live performances in our studio space, and audio workshops for youth and adults. The station aims to serve underrepresented local emerging artists and to teach media arts skills to individuals. HER is now based out of the Central District and has made it a priority to develop programming that engages the historical and cultural legacy of the neighborhood while also providing resources directly to the diverse communities and interest groups that live and work here.
