Established in 2017, Historic Wallingford is a volunteer neighborhood organization with the mission of fostering an awareness of and appreciation for Wallingford’s history and architecture. Your support helps Historic Wallingford connect residents and visitors with local history and businesses through activities like Exploring Wallingford brochures, a Speakeasy-themed party at Murphy's Pub,  The Wallingford Local radio show, neighborhood beautification initiatives, and website and newsletter features on local history.

Our initiatives in 2025 focused on building more community by hosting our first Wally-Home Resource Fair, recognizing legacy neighborhood businesses, and celebrating Wallingford with another Roaring 20s Speakeasy event.

In 2026, we plan to continue this work by hosting a second Wally-Home Resource Fair and associated virtual workshops, guided walking tours, and launching Beyond Acknowledgement: an Indigenous History Research Project to center Indigenous presence in Wallingford (see our campaign page below).

Your support helps Historic Wallingford make these community activities happen!
