NAOMI supports women and children on their journey from trauma to healing, growth, and joy.
We do this by inviting them into a safe community where they are seen, soothed and secure. Weekly gatherings take place around a meal with women and children building relationships. Growth Groups, which teach interpersonal and recovery skills, are held every other week. One-on-one support is available to each woman in order to reflect on her story and discover how her past is affecting her present. Healing and growth are measured through positive choices to uphold boundaries and make choices based on her core values.
We believe women and children who have experienced violence and other forms of trauma need a safe, grace-filled space for healing, connection, and hope because no woman should be alone in her pain.
We believe, when women are met with compassion and understanding, they will heal, find the strength to face their challenges and prioritize their personal well-being, as well as that of their children.
We believe strong, resilient women cultivate communities of goodness wherever they go.
We believe, by investing in healing and growth, we are preventing homelessness, domestic violence, substance abuse and other forms of trauma.
We believe acts of unearned mercy and kindness have the power to change lives.
