Healing Circles Langley

At Healing Circles Langley, our mission is to invite meaning, connection, and belonging for the well-being of self and community.

 We create safe, supportive environments where people can navigate life’s challenges with the companionship of peer support and a caring community. Our work is rooted in the belief that healing is most powerful when shared. Every circle is guided by shared agreements that cultivate trust, respect, and deep listening, ensuring all participants feel heard, valued, and supported.

Healing Circles Langley offers a range of peer-hosted programs to enhance personal growth. Our work is largely volunteer-led, with the support of two dedicated staff members overseeing programming, community outreach, volunteer support, and day-to-day operations. 

We focus on three key areas: Circles, Wellness, and Learning:

• Circles offer space for individuals and groups to explore life’s mysteries and challenges; they meet in person and virtually.
• Roots of Wellness offers community-based well-being programs such as yoga, tai chi, meditation, and balance classes. In addition, we host three annual intergenerational events—the Spring Scavenger Hunt, a post-Soupbox Derby Picnic, and a Lantern Walk—that bring people of all ages together.
• Learning opportunities range from writing workshops, aging to the fullest classes, and healing practices to a September mini-retreat for perimenopausal women called Passages. This fall, we will also pilot a healing circle for incarcerated individuals in partnership with the Island County Jail.

While our focus in Washington is local, Healing Circles Langley is part of a global Healing Circles network. Collectively, we advance five core initiatives: community building, research and evaluation, healthcare and organizational support, training, and disaster preparation and response. 

Our fiscal sponsor, Commonweal, a nonprofit based in California, provides financial oversight and administrative support, ensuring that all donations are responsibly managed so we can fully dedicate ourselves to serving our community.
