Healthcare for profit is not working and we need your help to change it!

• We keep the Universal Health Care Commission true to its mission of designing a universal health care system by providing testimony,  meeting with legislators and allies, and publishing a monthly analysis of what’s working and what’s not! 
• We secured nearly half a million dollars to fund studies to:
  • Restore coverage to 300,000 Washingtonians who lost insurance when the COVID public health emergency ended.
  • Consolidate our 3 largest state funded health programs to prove to the federal government that WA has the capacity to run its own healthcare system.
  • Expand access to Medicaid for low-income Medicare beneficiaries.

From insulin to preventative health care and much more, our members’ support and lobbying helped pass bills which lower the cost of and improve access to your health care, as well as make the drugs you depend on affordable.
