Humane Society for Southwest Washington

Each year, more than 10,000 animals in our community receive care at HSSW. With campuses in Vancouver and Longview, we provide shelter for lost and stray pets, refuge from abuse and neglect, essential medical care, and a second chance for a happy home. 

HSSW is a lifesaving pathway for animals across Southwest Washington and when you Give More for the Animals, you are part of that pathway. 

Through our community medicine program, we provide subsidized, high quality veterinary care for the pets of income qualified families in Clark, Cowlitz, and Skamania Counties. Our Community Veterinary Clinic and Mobile Veterinary Clinics help ensure animals remain healthy, prevent unnecessary surrenders, and keep families together.

And our commitment to the pets and people of Southwest Washington extends far beyond the shelter, providing critical support to pets and families with Wellness Clinics, pet food assistance, spay/neuter, emergency boarding, financial assistance, and other programs that help keep families together.
