$10,000 Goal

Furry Friends is a Vancouver, WA. 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill cat rescue and adoption organization.

Our Mission is to rescue the abandoned, the abused, and the forgotten. We specialize in cat hoarding situations, strays, neonates, and medical cases while providing clean living conditions, medical care, and an enriching environment full of love and care until adoption.

Furry Friends is funded by both individual and corporate donations; and as a 501(c)(3), non-profit, donations are tax deductible.

On Sept 25th, Furry Friends will participate in #Givemore24!, a day of giving that encourages individuals, communities, and organizations to come together and support the causes that matter most. This year, we’re setting our sights on an ambitious goal: raising $10,000 to go directly towards medical expenses, as well as medical equipment for the Furry Friends spay & neuter building!

Furry Friends is working to establish a dedicated medical facility on our property that will allow us to perform our own spay & neuter procedures. By having access to these services in-house, Furry Friends can reduce costs, and help even more cats!

Here are some of the programs that the medical building will offer:

  • TNR (Trap, neuter, release): Furry Friends will help local cat trappers with feral cats and colonies with spay and neuter services.
  • On site spay and neuter services: Performing spay and neuter surgeries onsite will allow us to drastically reduce the costs of having these services performed by another rescue organization or veterinary clinic. We will also be able to perform other veterinary procedures which will again reduce the amount of money that we spend at outside veterinary clinics.
  • Rescue assistance: Furry Friends will partner with other smaller rescue organizations to use the medical building, further increasing the impact on the animals in our community.

After much planning and coordination with the city, we have been approved to begin the process of constructing the building. First, we must install a fire hydrant and take out a couple of trees to make way for the new construction. We are elated that this project—a dream come true for our community cats—will soon become a reality!
