Mission

Friends of Youth has 70 years of experience advocating, adapting to, and managing change in our service to youth and young adults. As the largest trauma-informed care provider of supportive services for youth, young adults, and families in East King County we currently manage 24 program sites and services in 18 cities, and are a leader in empowering youth, young adults and families facing homelessness and crisis in North and East King County.

OUR PROGRAMS
Established in 1951, our agency annually provides services to address the needs of over 3,200 of our community's young people in three core areas:

Homeless Youth Services: A continuum of critical services for homeless youth and young adults, including the Eastside's only Emergency Shelter for young people ages 18-24, street outreach to 15 Eastside cities, a Drop-in Center, transitional housing for individuals and young families, and education and employment support.

Child Welfare Services: Including foster care, extended foster care, residential treatment and the only emergency shelter for children under 18 in East and North King County.

Youth and Family Services: Providing mental, behavioral, and substance use counseling and parenting programs for youth and families in the Issaquah, Snoqualmie Valley and Riverview School District communities.
