Flip's Island Rescue & Sanctuary is an all-volunteer foster based non-profit organization established in 2024, but with over 20 years of rescue experience. We are a registered Washington State charity and an IRS 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (tax ID #99-2165029). All donations are tax-deductible.

Mission

Flip’s Island Rescue & Sanctuary...FIRS mission is to provide the highest level of compassion for the animals entrusted in our care; to measurably reduce companion animals' overpopulation and to take a leadership role in promoting humane values and education for the benefit of animals.

A Message from Our Favorite Foster...

Dear FIRS Friends,

My name is Colleen, and if we’ve met through a kitten or puppy adoption, a foster story, or a heartfelt goodbye, you know how deeply I care about every animal who crosses my path.

In 2024, with the support of fellow animal lovers, we founded Flip's Island Rescue & Sanctuary—a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to giving cats, kittens, small dogs, and puppies a safe place to heal, grow, and find love.

This #GivingTuesday 2025—we’re asking for your help. Whether you adopted through me at FIRS or another rescue, shared a post, offered a kind word, or cheered for a tiny survivor, you have been part of this journey. Now, we invite you to be part of the next chapter.
