Mission

The Des Moines Police Foundation provides recognition, awareness and support for the Des Moines Police Department and our Community.

Vision

To promote community involvement and public safety by supporting and providing resources for the professional development of Des Moines Police Department employees and creating community partnerships that encourage citizen participation in enhancing safety for Des Moines residents.

To recognize Department employees and community members who support the Des Moines Police Department’s mission of providing professional law enforcement services with pride, teamwork, excellence and commitment.

To support the Des Moines Police Department through fundraising and community events.  The Foundation uses the contributions of our fellow citizens to provide fundraising for special programs, chaplaincy, bereavement and benevolence.
