Mission
Believing that theater is an agent of challenge, change, and education, Centerstage Theatre presents and produces quality performances that enhance the lives of people and communities in Western Washington. Our purpose is to:
- Promote the extension and development of theatre in the greater Puget Sound region.
- Provide a showcase for artists who aspire to a professional career and want to further their theatre knowledge and experience.
- Conduct workshops and classes taught by experienced, creative instructors to prepare students of all ages for professional auditions and productions.
Why support Centerstage?
Centerstage was first created as a conservatory for aspiring actors. Centerstage's mission has expanded to a full production company designed to reflect and lead the tastes of our community.
Like many arts organizations across the country, Centerstage Theatre is facing rough times in this time of uncertainty. We are performing with live audiences, but we still have a way to go to get back to our pre-pandemic level of audience members.
We need to make up a critical shortfall from the last three years!
Even though we are able to perform in front of an audience, understandable hesitancy for some of our supporters to join us live hampers our ability to make up for the loss of revenue we've experienced the past couple of years. In the meantime we are asking our beloved community of artists and patrons to help us through this stormy time by helping us keep our theatre going. Your generosity is critical for us to continue operations and schedule shows.
