OUR MISSION & HISTORY

We are committed to cultivating an overnight Outdoor School community that inspires all participants to reach their fullest potential by bringing the classroom outdoors. We empower current and future generations to become compassionate, innovative environmental stewards, through immersive and transformative social-emotional learning and youth development, and experiential education opportunities.

Camp GEORGE was founded by lifelong Washington state resident, Karra Jackson, who brings almost 35 years of experience with K-12 students in environmental education and overnight Outdoor School to the organization. 

OUR PROGRAMS & IMPACT

We are an up-and-coming overnight Outdoor School providing unique weeklong programs, to underserved fifth and sixth grade students in the Puget Sound region. We are dedicated to fostering an inclusive and vibrant community where individuals can explore their sense of wonder, curiosity, and excitement while cultivating a love for the natural environment. We proudly bring the classroom outdoors, ignite hearts and minds, and create friendships and memories to last a lifetime.
