Bridge Receiving Center

A nonprofit organization

Bridge Receiving Center provides a healing, safe place for children who have been removed from their home for the first time due to abuse/neglect or who are in need of emergency placement within the foster care system. Children between the ages of 4 - 18 years old from all over Washington State can stay at Bridge for 30+ days with trauma-responsive trained staff available 24/7. While at Bridge, children receive the tools and training they need to feel empowered and have their questions answered, experience creative therapy modules and trauma-informed care, all while waiting for their next steps- whether that's returning back home, going to live with extended family or finding a suitable placement for them in foster care.

THE BRIDGE DIFFERENCE

  • A transitional, healing, safe place for first-into-care and emergency placement kids
  • Trauma-responsive support and holistic wraparound services
  • Focus on increased sense of felt safety and security for children in care
  • Ability to keep siblings together
  • Time provided to locate the best option for the child, not the first available bed
