Mission

We energize community creativity and inspiration to improve parks and trails on Bainbridge Island.

Description

Islander and visitors alike, Bainbridge Island's spectacular park and trails system welcomes you!

Support the Bainbridge Island Parks & Trails Foundation, committed to improving the island's parks and trails for recreation, health and wellbeing, and connection.

Your gift through Give Big will:

• Support Student Conservation Corps, Summer Trails Crew and other work-learn and volunteer programs for youths and young adults, providing critical environmental restoration in our parks and trails

• Fund the purchase of hardy NW native plants to restore natural park and trail areas cleared of noxious plants like ivy, holly and blackberry

• Expand the year-round stewardship of Blakely Harbor Park, Pritchard Park, Gazzam Lake Preserve and the island's many other spectacular natural parks and trails

• Support proactive management of Moritani Preserve, Strawberry Hill Park and other forested parks challenged by the effects of climate change

We count on generous supporters like you to sustain our organization and our many community-driven initiatives for the benefit of Bainbridge Island's amazing parks and trails, open, accessible and welcoming to all.
