Back Country Horsemen of Washington

Mission

Back Country Horsemen of Washington Mission Statement is:

1. To perpetuate the common sense use and enjoyment of horses in the back country.
2. To work to insure that public lands remain open to recreational use.
3. To assist the various government and private agencies in their maintenance and management of said resource.
4. To educate, encourage and solicit active participation in the wise use of the back country by the general public commensurate with our heritage.

Description

Back Country Horsemen of Washington members are stewards of the land that work hard with other organizations and land managers to keep public lands open to the public. BCHW does this by working with the government, land managers, and other organizations to plan and work hard to maintain and improve the properties. BCHW also educates our members and the public to safely manage and use the public lands so they will be here for future generations to enjoy.
