Autism Society of Washington

We are a proudly Autistic-led and neuro-affirming organization, and a dedicated affiliate of the Autism Society of America.

Across Washington State, we stand alongside Autistic people and their families, offering advocacy, education, allyship, and meaningful connection. No one should have to navigate this world alone.

We are a volunteer-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit built on the belief that every Autistic person deserves to feel seen, supported, and valued at every stage of life. Our membership is free so that cost is never a barrier to belonging.

We are proud to have Autistic people serving on our board, including an Autistic president. We are committed to building a board that reflects the diversity of the state we serve and to reaching marginalized communities across Washington so that support is accessible to all.

Through trainings, speakers, shared resources, and community events, we create spaces where people can learn, connect, and be understood. We partner with communities across the state to build environments that are safer, more inclusive, and truly welcoming.

At the heart of all of this is community.

Community is where isolation turns into connection.
Where families find support.
Where Autistic people can be fully themselves, without masking and without judgment.
