Ancora's mission is to explore and reveal the possibilities of music composed for women's voices with passion and artistry .Members renew their commitment to musical excellence while building friendships and support among singers

Ancora is a nonprofit educational organization composed of women who endeavor to improve and develop their vocal talents and music education. We perform outstanding choral music through a challenging program of rehearsals and concerts, and enrich the arts community by sharing exquisite music for women’s voices with the public.  

 We offer winter and spring performances with diverse programs influenced by current events and inspired by the beauty of women’s voices. We tell stories through these performances that bring hope, show despair, poke fun at the absurd, and ultimately invite audiences and singers to experience all the emotions. We explore music from around the world to expand our cultural understanding.

 In this, our 20th Anniversary Season,we embrace  the opportunity to frame new rehearsal habits, renew our relationship with Ancora’s hallmark sound, and strengthen our artistic community. Like so many other arts and non-profit organizations, Ancora is in a stage of renewal, facing new environmental and economic challenges. We are building our development muscle with the main goal to make Ancora’s music more accessible to everyone, audience and singing members alike.
