Assistance League of Seattle is a registered 501(c)3 organization and managed by a Board of Directors. Over 150 members and community volunteers contribute over 25,000+ hours of service annually.  We believe that removing barriers to education for under-resourced students and families in Seattle helps provide hope for a brighter future.  We operate on the vision that when essential needs are met, families flourish.

Our Philanthropic Programs:

Operation School Bell - we partner with Seattle Public Schools to provide clothing for under-resourced students in grades K-12. Each child receives $150 to purchase clothing, coats and shoes.  We have clothed 3000 in the 2025-2026 school year.

Financial Aide for Education - We assist adult students returning to college or technical school with scholarships for essentials such as housing, transportation and childcare, addressing their diverse needs and rising living costs.

Summer Enrichment Scholarships - Our summer camp program sent 100 children to camp in 2025.  Students in grade 4-11 receive up to $500 to attend their choice of 42 camps for arts, sports, and other exciting education opportunities.

Enhancing Teacher Classrooms - Our classroom grants help support new teachers in Title 1 schools, allowing them to purchase much needed class room supplies and activities.  Each teacher is awarded up to $500.

Starting Out Supplies - Partnering with Solid Ground, Sand Point Housing and Plymouth Health, we assist families transitioning from unhoused situations to permanent housing.  We provide each family with a basket of essential household items.
