350 Seattle works toward climate justice by organizing people to make deep system change: resisting fossil fuels; building momentum for healthy alternatives; and fostering resilient, just, and welcoming communities.

Description

 350 Seattle is a grassroots-led community confronting the root causes of the climate crisis. Staff and volunteer driven, we are building a cross-class, multi generational and multicultural climate movement. We imagine a Seattle where no matter what neighborhood you live in, what color your skin is, or how much money you make, you deserve a good future. We want healthy lungs, accessible public transportation, thriving neighborhoods powered by renewable energy, where everyone can afford their bills and everyone gets to be well.

This Giving Tuesday, we are thrilled to announce that we have a $10,000 donor match! Help us reach our goal of raising $10,000 dollars.

These are unprecedented times. The White House is criminalizing the climate and environmental justice movement, rolling back many of the victories from the Biden administration and seems determined to speed up climate chaos. But we are not backing down. Now more than ever we are standing with our friends and allies because when climate activists, labor unions, community organizers, frontline coalitions and everyday folks like you and me unite - we win.

In 2026, we are prioritizing rebuilding our base of active members, investing in Black, Indigenous, People of Color and working class leadership, resisting the climate deniers in the White House and not letting our state's decision makers use federal inaction as an excuse for delays. 

We're running several campaigns, including:

• Our Make Polluters Pay campaign is organizing to hold our state's biggest polluter's accountable for the financial damages wrought by climate change.
• The Civic Action Team is celebrating ten year of legislative advocacy with over 100,000 legislative contacts last session! 
• In Seattle, last fall we hosted a climate-worker organizing cohort to train dozens of activists across movements. 
• We are advocating for a moratorium on data center construction with a letter campaign which has sent over 80,000 messages City Council and Mayor. 
• Our Executive Director Shemona served as the co-chair of the Transportation & Environment Committee for Mayor Wilson's transition team, giving us a chance to shape the city's climate priorities. 

We fiscally sponsor four other amazing organizations. We have a book club, host a monthly climate community night. Our Artful Team hosts close to a dozen art builds a year, keeping our movement colorful and welcoming. We do alot.

We got big plans. We need you and your support to keep this work alive. We need you to help us grow the movement to build the resilient, just, and welcoming communities we want. We believe our most important task is building and inspiring the movement, because only a movement can bring about the profound change we need, as quickly as we need it to. We're up against big forces of money and power - it will take massive people power to win, and we can't do this without you.
